3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, survey, calculator, appointment request, application, or other communication. We also receive technical information automatically through cookies and similar technologies and may receive information from service providers, referral sources, transaction participants, public records, and consumer-reporting agencies as permitted by law and with any required authorization.

4. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • respond to inquiries and schedule or conduct consultations;
  • identify mortgage, homebuyer-assistance, home-equity, refinance, or investor-loan paths that may warrant review;
  • process, underwrite, arrange, close, service, or support a mortgage transaction;
  • verify identity, information, eligibility, and compliance requirements;
  • communicate about appointments, applications, transactions, educational resources, and services;
  • operate, personalize, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Site;
  • measure advertising and understand how visitors find and use the Site;
  • prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
  • maintain records and comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, audit, and reporting obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

We may combine information collected from different sources for these purposes.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies

The Site may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. These tools can support essential Site functions, remember choices, measure traffic and performance, and help evaluate or deliver advertising.

Providers may include Google services, such as Site Kit or Analytics, and advertising or social-media platforms, such as Meta, when installed. Those providers may receive device, usage, and cookie identifiers and process them under their own privacy terms.

You can limit cookies through your browser and, when available, the Site’s cookie-preference tool. Blocking some cookies may affect Site features. You can also use platform-specific advertising controls. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry; where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we will process recognized opt-out preference signals.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Coast2Coast personnel and affiliated operations involved in responding to or supporting your request;
  • service providers supporting website hosting, security, analytics, advertising, communications, CRM, surveys, scheduling, mortgage technology, document delivery, processing, compliance, and professional services;
  • mortgage and transaction parties, such as lenders, investors, mortgage insurers, appraisers, title or escrow providers, settlement agents, insurance providers, real-estate professionals, and government or assistance-program administrators, when needed for a requested transaction or authorized by you;
  • legal and regulatory recipients when disclosure is required or reasonably necessary to comply with law, lawful process, audits, licensing duties, fraud prevention, safety, or the protection of rights; and
  • business-transfer recipients in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

Service providers are permitted to handle information only for authorized services and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.

7. Sale, rental, mobile information, and targeted advertising

We do not sell or rent mortgage leads or personal information for money. We do not share submitted lead information with unaffiliated companies for their own independent marketing.

Mobile information, text-message opt-in data, and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes. This does not prevent disclosure to service providers that support messaging, CRM, compliance, customer service, or other authorized operations on our behalf, or disclosure when required by law.

Some privacy laws may define the use of advertising cookies or pixels as a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. Where those laws apply, you may have the right to opt out of that activity. Use the Site’s cookie-preference control when available or contact us using the method below. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 18 for targeted advertising.

8. Mortgage applications and nonpublic personal information

A mortgage broker is subject to financial privacy and information-security obligations. If you begin a covered mortgage relationship, Coast2Coast may provide a separate privacy notice describing its practices regarding nonpublic personal information. That notice, applicable law, and your transaction documents control the financial information associated with that relationship.

Do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, full account numbers, tax returns, bank statements, identity documents, or other sensitive records through a general website form, survey, text message, or ordinary email. Use only the secure application or document-delivery method provided to you.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to requests, providing services, maintaining transaction and consent records, meeting legal and regulatory requirements, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information, the relationship, and applicable law. Information may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of when no longer required, subject to legal holds and technical limitations.

10. Information security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. Those measures may include access controls, secure platforms, vendor oversight, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, and workforce procedures. No system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe information associated with your interaction has been compromised, contact us promptly and do not include sensitive information in the initial message.

11. Your communication choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. Reply STOP to opt out of marketing text messages and HELP for help. You may also contact us to update your preferences.

Opting out of marketing does not prevent transactional, security, application, servicing, or legally required communications. Consent to marketing communications is not a condition of applying for or obtaining mortgage services.

12. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information; to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing; to limit certain uses of sensitive information; or to appeal a denied request.

To submit a request, use our contact page and write “Privacy Request” in your message, or mail the request to the address below. Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

These rights are subject to exceptions. Information governed by federal financial privacy law, credit-reporting law, or other sector-specific rules may be handled under those laws instead.

13. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

15. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised Policy and update the date above. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
